چکیده

Background: The multitude, diversity, and complexity of tibial plateau fractures make them difficult to treat. In theliterature, the indications for non-operative vs operative management differ substantially. Varied surgeons haveadvocated different treatment procedures, with some advocating conservative others advocatingfor aggressive management. Objectives: To compare surgical percutaneous CC screw fixation, ORIFwith plating fixation universal mini external fixator. Methods: After diagnosis 30 patients has been established, patient was informed fracture necessityfor surgery. consent is obtained, pre-operative planning done. Schatzker classification used classifyall Tibial prior a minimum six months post-surgery, were followed upperiodically. functional outcome knee assessed using Rasmussen score society forall who met inclusion criteria. Results: average time union 18 weeks (range from 18-22 weeks). majority thecases, around 50% had by 16th weeks, 40% 18th week. 7% fractureunion 20th week, 3% 22nd week. Conclusion: PCCS or PF + can attain near anatomical repair articular surface plateaufracture. Since they are confined pattern its size, each three procedures employed treattibial own array pros cons.

Arthroscopic Management for Tibial Plateau Fractures

Twenty-one tibial plateau fractures with 1 to 5 years follow-up are reviewed for the purpose of demonstrating the positive impact arthroscopy can have on patients sustaining this injury. Controversy between open and nonopen management has existed for decades. Arthroscopy bridges that controversy, allowing the advantages of accurate reduction and rigid fixation without extensive operative exposu...

Tibial plateau fractures: four years review at B & B Hospital.

BACKGROUND Tibial plateau fractures involve the articular surface of the tibia resulting from a combination of axial loading with varus or valgus stress. Inadequate and inappropriate treatment may result in significant functional loss. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to determine the outcome of our treatment modalities and to compare with the results of comparable studies. METHODS T...

Arthroscopic management of tibial plateau fractures: surgical technique.

Tibial plateau fractures are serious articular fractures that are challenging to treat. Arthroscopy-assisted percutaneous fixation is the treatment of choice in Schatzker types 1, 2, 3, and 4 fractures, as it ensures optimal reduction and stable fixation consistent with early mobilisation. The most reliable fixation method seems to be percutaneous cannulated screw fixation, which is less invasi...

Part I: Arthroscopic management of tibial plateau fractures.

Arthroscopy is a valuable tool for the assessment of tibial plateau fractures and is the treatment of choice for associated intra-articular pathology. In addition, (all)-arthroscopic reduction and internal fixation (ARIF) is recommended for type III fractures and is a consideration for types I, II, and IV. Published outcome studies of ARIF of tibial plateau fractures describe results that appea...
